Primal Moves
A set of operations dashboards for a gym, pulling scheduling and point-of-sale data into one place so instructors and owners can read the health of the business at a glance.
About
Most studios run on a patchwork of tools. Class scheduling and memberships live in one system, the cafe and retail register live in another, and nobody has a single picture of how the place is actually doing. Primal Moves brings those threads together into a small family of dashboards: one for the front desk and owners, and focused views for instructors who just want to know who is coming to their classes.
The dashboards surface the things that are easy to feel but hard to see day to day. Which classes are filling and which are quietly emptying, how new members move from their first visit into a steady routine, and which longtime members have started to drift. Turning ordinary attendance and visit history into an early read on retention is the part that earns its keep, because it gives the team a reason to reach out before a lapse becomes a cancellation.
The interesting problem
The hard part is not the charts, it is the plumbing underneath them. Scheduling and point-of-sale come from two separate platforms with different ideas of what a member, a visit, and a product even are. Reconciling those models into one trustworthy timeline per member, and doing it client-side so the whole thing can ship as a fast static site with no server to babysit, is where most of the engineering went.
